A group of Jewish students at the Lyons ORT trade school, who were called up for military service, have been granted one-year deferment by the French Army in order to complete their studies, it was reported here today. The army’s ruling, an ORT official pointed out, now places the ORT schools in France on an equal footing with the French public schools.
