Rephael Szereszowski, Jewish communal leader in ##re-war Poland and member of the Polish parliament from 1922 to 1927, died here today ##t the age of 79. He arrived in the United States in 1941, after making his way across Asia and embarking at Shanghai.Szereszowski was a member of the Polish Government’s Council for Social Wel####are from l924 until the outbreak of the war. He held many other high positions in the country and from 1916 until 1939 served as councillor of Warsaw six times. He also played an active role in the Jewish cooperative, health and colonization movements in Poland.
