The establishment of the Jewish state this weekend will be hailed here by Jewish leaders at a mass demonstration in Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening, the American Zionist Emergency Council, sponsor of the rally, announced today.
Speakers who are scheduled to participate include: Henry Morgenthau, Jr., Layer William O’Dwyer, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, Dr. Abba Hillel Silver and Dr. Chaim ?izmann. Dr. Emanuel Neumann will preside.
Messages from David Ben Gurion, David Remez, the Commander-in-chief Haganah, and Palestine Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog are expected. Former Assistant secretary of State Sumner Welles and Senators Owen Brewster and Brien McMahon will address the rally via long-distance telephone.
