50,000 Chicagoans Jam Salute to Israel Rally; Lifting of Arms Embargo Urged

More than 50,000 persona who jammed the Chicago Sta##un here last night in a Salute to Israel rally sponsored by Americans for Hagansh nard Senator Wayland Broods, of Illinois, call for the immediate lifting of the Palestine arms embargo. Other speakers included Mayor Martin H. Kennelly and Bartley Crum, publisher of the Hew York newspaper PM and chairman of Americana for Haganah.

Crum urged the U.S. to freeze all payments to Arab states warring against the Jew state of Israel. He also proposed that the United Nations Security Council impose economic sanctions against such states. An exhibit of jeeps, trucks and other equipment assembled by the Materials for Palestine Committee scheduled for shipment to Israel was shown at the rally.
