The Portland Jewish Community Center, affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board, came to the aid of victims of the disastrous flood which swept the northwest this week by providing sleeping quarters in the Center gymnasium and other sections of the building, and by giving food and clothing to flood victims, it was reported here today.

More than 200 men, women and children were cared for by the Portland Jewish community through the Center facilities, under the supervision of A. David Biatch, Center director. The American Red Cross has given the Center authority to requisition food, clothing, medicines and other supplies for victims of the Columbia River tragedy.
