A foreseeable end to the homelessness of some 200,000 Jewish DP’s in Europe was forecast today by Edward M.M. Warburg, chairman of the J.D.C. and Moses A. Leavitt, vice-chairman, who addressed the second annual meeting here of the Middle Atlantic Region of the organization.

Warburg told delegates to the parley that the “possibility of large-scale immigration rests upon the fact that the state of Israel needs and ###### these people” and upon the “whole-hearted efforts in this country on behalf of the U.J.A.” Leavitt stressed the fact that Israel-bound immigrants will continue “to need large quantities of assistance until their actual departure.”
