Three former officials of the Slovak Puppet Government, who participated in the deportation of many Slovak Jews to death camps in Poland during the war, today received prison terms imposed by the People’s Court in Bratislava ranging from 18 months to 18 years.

The three convicted defendants are Dr. Isider Koso, former counselor to the pro-Nazi Slovak regime, Dr. Gejza Konko and Julius Pecuch, who was let off with an 18-month sentence because one Jewish witness testified that at one time Pecuch helped to rescue several Jews who were destined for deportation.
