A hint to Jews in Turkey to avoid expressing any support for Israel at the present time was made today in an editorial published in the semi-official newspaper Ulus.
The article warned that “any action or manifestation which is not backing the government policy with regard to the Palestine question should be considered as contrary to the citizens’ duties.” It emphasized that the Turkish Government wishes to see justice prevail in Palestine.
