Federation of Jewish Communities in Soviet Zone of Germany Joins World Jewish Congress

The World Jewish Congress today announced that the federation of Jewish Communities in the Soviet zone of Germany, numbering only 1,500 members, has decided to affiliate with the Congress.

A decision to affiliate itself with the World Jewish Congress was also taken by the Federation of Jewish Communities in Tunisia, the announcement said. The Federation represents some 120,000 Jews in that country.
