Two New Courses for Lay Students Added to Hebrew Union College Curriculum

Two new courses will be offered in the Fall tern for lay students of the Hebrew Union College, it was announced here this week-end by Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of the college. The new courses are “Introduction to Judaism” and “Great Literary Sources of Judaism.” In addition, the curriculum will include “World Jewish history.”

“The program of lay student education is a specific recognition by the College, of Liberal Judaism’s responsibility in the task of preserving and encouraging Jewish scholarship,” Dr. Glueck stressed, Students participating in the program will attend both the Hebrew Union College and the University of Cincinnati. Only 25 students will be accepted for the new courses during the coming academic year.
