Great Britain’s decision to pay the Transjordan Arab Legion, an installment of $2,000,000 was described as “despicable today by Sidney Stein, commander of the Jewish War Veterans’ N.Y. State department.

Calling on President Truman to withhold E.R.P. funds from the British Government, Stein said that the British decision “to give financial aid to the Arab war ma-chine highlights all the more the vital necessity for lifting the Palestine arms embargo and granting a $100,000,000 loan to Israel.”
