Bavarian Government to Establish Special Restitution Commission for Province

Dr. Hans Shard, Bavarian Minister-President has issued a decree authorizing the creation of a three-man restitution council in the province to cooperate in the United States zonal restitution program.

The council will consist of a state commissioner for former persecutes and a representative of the Ministries of Justice and Finance. In addition, special commissions will be organized in various branch offices of the Office of Property Administration and Restitution of Bavaria.

The ORT revealed today that there are now some 520 Jews, not living in DP camp, who attend its trade schools in this city. The students, who receive a small monthly allowance from the Bavarian. Government, are registered in courses for automotive mechanics, typewriter repair, optical work, printing, photography and many other trades.
