Educational Leaders Attend Funeral Services for Dr. Ben Edidin; Was 48 Years of Age

Leaders of major Jewish educational institutions attended funeral services here today for Dr. Ben Edidin, assistant director of the Jewish Education Committee of this city and a noted author on educational subjects, who died late Friday after an illness of several months at the age of 48. Messages of condolence were issued by the Jewish Education Committee, the Zionist Organization of America, the Hisdatruth Ivrith and the United Parent-Teachers Association of Jewish Schools.

Dr. Edidin was horn in Russia and came to the United States at the age of 12. He received his A.B. at the University of Wisconsin and a Doctor of Education degree at the University of Buffalo. He was a member of the board of education in Tel Aviv from 1935-37 and director of the Bureau of Jewish Education in Buffalo. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Edelman of Chicago, and a daughter.
