Can Absorb 100,000 New Jewish Settlers, Fisher Reports Upon Return from Israel

There is an acute shortage of labor in Israel day, Mendel N. Fisher, executive director of the Jewish National Fund of America, reported today upon his return from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem where he attended the passions of the Zionist Actions Committee and, together with Judge Morris Rothenberg, participated in discussions at which J.N.F. policy was formulated.

Expressing satisfaction that the Jewish of the Jewish National Fund will ## maintained, Fisher said that the form of fund-raising now in use in the United states will continue, He emphasized that “there is room for at least 100,000 Jewish families in the Negev” and that “the possibilities there are immense.” The Jewish National Fund, he said, has a ten-year program that will require vast resources which the Jews of America and other parts of the world will have to provide.
