The American Association for the United Nations today sent to Secretary of State Marshall a statement signed by 16 national organizations urging three steps to help achieve unity in Palestine. The recommendations are; immediate granting of de jure recognition to the state of Israel the granting of an American loan $100,000,000 to Israel, and admission of the Jewish state to the U.N.
Signers included the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union, American Christian Palestine Committee, American Jewish Committee, American Jewish Conference, American Jewish Congress, the Congress’ Women’s Division, American Zionist Emergency Council, B’nai B’rith, Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, Jewish War Veterans, National Council of Jewish Women, Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League.
