The rate of emigration of Israel-bound Turkish Jews has reached record proportions during recent weeks, it was learned here today. Entire family groups, instead of just youthful pioneers, are leaving Izmir, Edirne and Canakkale for Tel Aviv or Haifa.

In Istanbul the number of prospective immigrants has become so great that many Jews register in the smaller provincial cities in order to avoid a lengthy delay in passport application processing. Many other Jews leave for Marseilles and Naples where they embark for Israeli ports.
