A transport of 530 Jewish displaced persons left Italy today for Israel. The refugees originally lived in five different DP camps in Italy.
The magazine Far’n Volk, a publication of an organization of former Jewish partisans, today ceased publication because most of the members of the group have left for Israel and there is no longer need for the magazine. The journal was widely read among Jewish DP’s in Germany, Austria and Italy.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
