The annual conference of the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen, attended by 200 delegates representing 10,000 members, today adopted a resolution expressing the hope that cordial relations will soon be established between Britain and the state of Israel. The resolution was forwarded to the British Government.

The opinion that British de facto recognition of Israel is imminent was expressed here today by Sidney Silverman, Jewish member of the British Parliament, addressing a meeting of Zionist Laborites. “It is obvious to me that the gesture for reconciliation must come from London,” he said. “If made in a generous spirit, I hope that Palestine labor will take the outstretched hand.”
