Several cases of dysentery were reported today among the children on the damaged Israel-bound vessel, S.S. Tampa, which was towed into Seuda Bay in Crete by a Dutch salvage vessel after floundering helplessly in the Mediterranean for four days.

The Joint Distribution Committee is sending a shipment of medical supplies by air to aid the 500 DP passengers, it was announced here. Harry Goldfarb, a J.D.C. representative, left for Seuda Bay to supervise the distribution of medical supplies. The ship’s engineers stated that the vessel will be repaired within a few days.
