Canadian Zionists, in a statement issued here last night, welcomed the decision of the United Kingdom to accord recognition to Israel. Samuel J. Zacks, president of the United Zionist Council of Canada, said that by ex-tending recognition to the Jewish state, “Britain is now contributing much to peace and stability of the Middle East.”
