Judge Morris Rothenberg was last night re-elected president of the Jewish National Fund of America for his fifth consecutive term at a conference of representatives of all Zionist groups in the United States held at the Waldorf-Astoria.
Reviewing the progress of the J.N.F., Judge Rothenberg reported that during his administration American Jewry made available for the land-reclamation program of the J.N.F. the sum of $85,064,439.07. Of this total, $13,034,025.44 was raised through the traditional J.N.F. collections while $72,030,413.63 represented the Fund’s share in the United Jewish Appeal.
Elected with Judge Rothenberg were a board of directors of 60 and an administrative committee of 18, including representatives of the Zionist Organization of America, Hadassah, Labor Zionist Organization of America, Mizrachi, Bnai Zion, Pioneer Women’s Organization, Mizrachi Women’s Organization and Hashomer Hatzair.
