Messages hailing President Truman’s extension of full U.S. recognition to Israel continued to reach the White House today.
Hadassah, in a message to the President, expressed gratification on behalf of the quarter million American Jewish women” affiliated with it. The message, signed by Mrs. Rose L. Halprin, president, expressed confidence that Israel will soon become a members of the United Nations. A message from the National Committee for Labor Israel said that “as Americans we are proud of the action taken by our government in backing the state of Israel.”
