Israel Gets First Commercial Order from Russia; Appoints Economic Envoy to U.s

The Soviet Union today placed its first commercial order with Israel, purchasing a shipment of orange oil which will be delivered to the port of Odessa and payment f or which is to be made through the Anglo-Palestine Bank. Several shipments of goods from Russia have already arrived in Israel.

The appointment of M. Sheinson as Israeli commercial attache in the United States was announced here today. He is a vice-president of the Tel Aviv chamber of commerce.
