A bill providing for the outlawing of all forms of discrimination because of race, creed, national origin or color in employment, education, housing, public accommodation and recreational facilities was approved unanimously here yesterday by the State Assembly.
The measure, proposed by Assemblywoman Grace Freeman, also endorses guarantees in the state’s new constitution against discrimination. Governor Alfred R. Driscoll and members of various civil rights organizations have previously urged passage of such a measure.
