A spontaneous demonstration by an estimated 10,000 persons took place tonight near the Israeli legation marking the opening of the first session of the newly-elected Israeli Constituent Assembly in Jerusalem. Crowds danced and cheered in the streets near the legation and shouted “Long Live Israel” and “Aliyah.”
