Prof. Boris Chain, Jewish refugee scientist who in 1945 won a partial Nobel prize for his work on penicillin, has been named head of the Biological Institute to be opened at the Weizmann Institute, Meyer Weisgal, head of the American Committee for the Institute announced here today, prior to his departure for the U.S. He added that the opening of the Weizmann Institute, set for May 15, has been postponed for technical reasons.
