198 Jewish Displaced Persons Arrive in Boston; Immigrants Aided by Hias and U.S.N.A.

A total of 198 Jewish immigrants arrived here today board the S.S. Marine Flasher which brought 549 displaced persons to these shores their permanent resettlement. HIAS sponsored 115 of the DP’s while 83 were aided by the ##ited Service for New Americans. The S.S. General Black is due to arrive in New York tomorrow with a contingent of 204 Jewish refugees among a total of 826 DP passengers.
