The Mexican Government announced last night that it has extended recognition to the state of Israel. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the Mexican delegation to the United Nations has been instructed to vote in favor of the Jewish state’s admission to the world organization. Mexico’s recognition of the Jewish state makes her the 51st nation to have granted acknowledgment to Israel.
