The Argentine Jewish Institute for Culture and Information has notified the Eagle-Lion film company that it “is determined to fight with all its strength–using both the law and public opinion–to prevent the shoving of the film, ‘Oliver Twist.'”

The British motion picture, which has been banned in the U.S. zones of Germany and Austria, Turkey and in other areas, is scheduled to be exhibited in Argentina within the next few months. “The firm provokes forgotten hatreds and disturbs the peace of Argentine society,” the Institute said in a letter to the Eagle-Lion firm.
