A group of 250 Jews stranded in Tientsin, now reoccupied by Communist forces, have received last-minute permits to proceed to Israel, HIAS headquarters here announced today on the basis of a cable received from the organization’s office in Shanghai. The report said the Tientsin Jews were scheduled to leave last Sunday aboard on I.R.O, vessel from the north Chinese port city of Taku-Bad for the Philippines, from where they will proceed to the Jewish state.
