Israeli Minister to Poland Arrives in Tel Aviv; Other Envoys Due Within a Week

Israel Barzilai, Israeli Minister to Poland, arrived here today and presented Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett with the original copy of the Israeli-Polish trade pact which was recently signed in Warsaw. Reuven Rubin, Israeli Minister to Rumania, and Eliahu Elath, Ambassador to Washington, are expected here within a week.

(In Washington, the Israeli Embassy announced that Uriel Heyd, First Secretary of the Embassy, will represent Israel during Ambassador Elath’s absence. The Ambassador will leave Juno 4 for a six-week visit to Israel.)

Sir William Strang, British Permanent Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, arrived here today from the Old City of Jerusalem. He is scheduled to confer with Premier David Ben Gurion.

Golda Myerson, Minister of Labor, is leaving for the United States tomorrow for a three -week trip to aid the United Jewish Appeal campaign, it was announced today.
