The purchase of a building to be used as an immigrant shelter In Melbourne, Australia, has been approved by the board of directors of HIAS, it was announced this week-end by HIAS president Samuel A. Telsey. The building will be used to feed and quarter newcomers to Australia until they are resettled, he said. The purchase and establishment of the shelter will be effected through the cooperation of the Australian Jewish Welfare and Relief Society, he added.
