The forthcoming visit to London of King Abdullah of Transjordan is “purely social,” a British Foreign Office spokesman asserted today, adding that the King’s arrival and that of Emir Abdul Illah, regent of Iraq, during the Middle East conference here, was “purely coincidental.”
