Election of Sir Ellsworth Flavelle as head of the Canada-Israel Association, set up to promote closer scientific, cultural and economic relations between the two countries, was announced today. Previously, Sir Ellsworth headed the Canadian Pre-Palestine Committee. The Association is comprised of leading Canadian government officials, clergymen, educators and writers.
