The Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Eliahu Elath, attended a conference this morning at the State Department with Assistant Secretary George McGhee. It was the Ambassador’s first call at the Department since his return to Washington last week.
No particular problems were brought up by Mr. Elath and a general discussion took place. It was the Ambassador’s first opportunity to talk to McGhee since the latter’s promotion to head of the Division of Near Eastern end African Affairs.
