More than 20 cases of non-Jewish husbands divorcing their Jewish wives , whose loves they saved by the marriages during the Nazi occupation of Poland, have some to the attention of the Israeli consulate here, it was learned today.
In all cases the women–some of whose divorces are not yet completed–have applied for visas for the Jewish state. Some of the women have asked permission to bring their children with them, No explanation has been forthcoming yet for the poles’ desire to rid themselves of their Jewish wives, even at the cost of losing their children, when they risked their lives during the occupation to save the women.
