A decline of membership in pro-Communist Jewish groups here has become noticeable following their launching of a separate fund-raising drive in competition with the United Jewish Campaign, which is supported by all other elements in the Jewish community.
The pro-Communist groups have not succeeded so far in securing any substantial contributions for their campaign. The drive is being conducted under the pretext that the Israeli authorities are discriminating against pro-Communist groups in the Jewish states.
