An Israeli commercial delegation is expected to arrive here shortly to negotiate a trade pact between the two nations, it was learned today. A number of weeks ago, the Bulgarian Government extended an invitation to Israel to send such a delegation and the Jews accepted the invitation, but have not yet named the members of the group.

Meanwhile, Israel is not represented here by an official diplomatic representative since the death of Aaron Behar in Tel Aviv shortly before he was scheduled to leave for Sofia to take up the post of consul-general. Ariel Pinchas has been acting as an unofficial representative.

The exodus of Bulgarian Jews to Israel, which reduced the country’s Jewish population to about 4,000, is practically at an end. Although no further organized migratory movement is expected, it is likely that small groups of 40 or 50 Jews may leave for Israel from time to time.
