Prof. I. Mer, noted malaria specialist, will be Israel’s first official to visit Egypt when he attends the U.N.-sponsored World Health Organization regional conference in Alexandria at the end of this month, it was announced here today. Prof. Mer was a brigadier in the British Army in Burza during World War II and also served in the Israeli Army.
