Polish National Bank and Anglo-palestine Bank Sign Papers for Poland-israel Trade Pact

The Polish National Bank and the Anglo-Palestine Bank, which acts as Israel’s national banking institution, have signed documents preparatory to the anticipated conclusion of the Polish-Israel trade agreement, it was reported here today. At the same time it was disclosed that Polish manufacturers have already received numerous orders from Israel importers who recently visited here.

Dr. M. Shamir, Israel’s commercial attache in Poland, revealed this week that he has begun negotiations with top Austrian Government officials for an Israel-Austrian commercial agreement. Dr. Shamir said that Austrian Foreign Minister Dr. Karl Gruber told him that the Vienna government is interested in entering into trade relations with the Jewish state.
