Convention of B’nai B’rith Youth Organization Lauds Truman’s Stand on Civil Rights

The 25th anniversary of the establishment of Aleph Zadik Aleph, B’nai B’rith-sponsored youth organization with an enrollment of 10,000 in 500 chapters, was celebrated here at a four-day convention attended by 250 delegates from all parts of the U.S. and Canada.

Principal speakers included former Federal Public Housing Authority Commissioner, Philip M. Klutznick. The delegates sent a wire of support to President Truman for his stand on civil rights and for his efforts to liberalize the Displaced Persons Act of 1948. Richard Brownstein, of Portland, Ore., was elected president of the A.Z.A.
