Film “oliver Twist” Banned in Bulgaria: Its Anti-jewish Scene Considered Offensive

The Committee for Science, Arts and Culture today banned the public exhibition of the British-produced film, “Oliver Twist,” on the grounds that the motion picture contains anti-Semitic suggestions “not in keeping with the feelings of the Bulgarian people.”
