Israel Censorship Commission Bans Soviet Writer’s Play Because It is Anti-american

The Israel Censorship Committee has banned a production here of Konstantine Simonov’s play, “The American Problem,” on the ground that it contains anti-American propaganda, it was learned here today, Mr. Simonov is an outstanding Soviet playwright.

(Reuters reported from Tel Aviv that circles close to the Censorship Commission said that the Commission’s action was taken because it had recently banned an American film which it considered anti-Soviet.)
