The need for training teachers in Israel to serve the 30,000 children entering the country annually was emphasized last night by Dr. Emanuel P. Lichtenstein, of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, addressing the 19th triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women. The convention also heard Dr. Harry Rivlin, chairman of the education department of Queens College, New York City, review the problems of education in the new state.
