Dr. Cyril Garbett, Archbishop of York and Britain’s second-ranking clergyman, charged last night in a speech delivered to the Joint Synod of the Convocation of York that Jews and Irish Roman Catholics were using certain U.S. newspapers for bitter anti-British attacks. Reporting on his recent tour of the United States, the Archbishop said the “Jews and Irish Roman Catholics carry on their vendetta through the press.”
