Almost 23,000 unemployed persons were registered at the general labor exchanges in September, according to figures made public today by the Labor Ministry. About 10,500 obtained work for three weeks and 5,700 had jobs for a fortnight.

The Israel Government intends to modify its economic policy when the Knesset reopens next week in order to facilitate the flow of foreign investment capital to Israel, according to “Haaretz,” General Zionist Party organ.

The publication sees in Premier David Ben Gurion’s Friday address to a labor group the first hint to the Israel public that the “socialization” policy hitherto strictly pursued is going to yield ground as the Mapai Party executive is no longer convinced of its practicability at this time.
