Suspension of Compulsory Religious Teaching in Hungary Affects Instruction in Judaism

The decree abolishing compulsory religious instruction in Hungary’s schools has had a marked effect on the teaching of Jewish religious principles, it was indicated here today. Sixty percent of Jewish parents who were polled expressed a desire to have their children continue to receive religious instruction.
