A request to the New South Wales Attorney-General to consider an amendment to the existing provincial defamation law which would provide “redress to people defamed” by virtue of group libel was made today during a debate in the New South Wales legislative assembly by Abram Landa, deputy for Bondi. Attorney-General C.E. Martin said that he will take up the matter with the Minister of Justice and the Colonial Secretary, who are charged with administration of such acts.
