Chile and Israel Governments Agree to Establish Diplomatic and Consular Relations

The establishment of diplomatic and consular relations between Israel and Chile was assured today following the initialing of formal documents in the Foreign Office headquarters of Chile in Santiago, it was reported here today from the Chilean capital.

Samuel Gorin, Israel liaison official, signed the papers for the Israel Government. It was reliably learned here that Israel Minister to Argentina and Uruguay, Dr. Yaacov Tzur, will also represent his government in Santiago.
