“Gold and silver will no longer stream to Israel from the Diaspora countries if a radical modification of the country’s regime” does not occur, Menachem Beigin, leader of the Herut Party, declared here last night at a dinner tendered in his honor on the occasion of his return from an extensive overseas trip. He said that Israel’s trade balance deficit was 30,000,000 pounds ($84,000,000) and said it was “beyond coverage.”
